Chapter 1: A Walk in Solitude

The bustling city streets were alive with the symphony of honking cars and hurried footsteps. Among the throngs of people, Hyeon Woo walked alone, his steps heavy with a burden that weighed upon his heart. At fifteen years old, he was no stranger to the quiet corners of his mind, often lost in his own thoughts.

Today was no different. As he strolled down the crowded street, his gaze fixed on the pavement, Hyeon Woo couldn't shake off the overwhelming sense of melancholy that enveloped him. His mind was consumed by a tangled web of worries, doubts, and unanswered questions.

His childhood friend, Hyeon Mi, had been acting distant lately, and he couldn't help but wonder what could have caused the rift between them. They used to share everything, from their deepest secrets to their most treasured dreams. But now, it seemed as if an invisible wall had grown between them, casting a shadow over their once unbreakable bond.

Lost in his thoughts, Hyeon Woo failed to notice the small dog that had wandered onto the sidewalk. As fate would have it, he inadvertently stepped on its tail, causing the poor creature to yelp in pain. Startled, Hyeon Woo immediately halted his steps, his heavy thoughts momentarily interrupted.

He knelt down beside the dog, guilt washing over him as he reached out to comfort the distressed animal. "I'm so sorry," he whispered softly, his voice filled with genuine remorse. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

The dog, a small, fluffy creature with innocent eyes, looked at Hyeon Woo with a mix of fear and forgiveness. Its tail wagged tentatively as if to reassure him that all was forgiven. In that fleeting moment, a glimmer of light pierced through Hyeon Woo's clouded mind, reminding him of the importance of compassion and understanding.

With newfound clarity, Hyeon Woo rose to his feet, the weight on his heart somewhat alleviated. He continued his solitary walk, but this time, his thoughts were different. He pondered not only the troubles that burdened him but also the importance of reaching out to others, of mending the fractures in the relationships that mattered most.

Deep down, Hyeon Woo knew that he needed to confront the growing rift between him and Hyeon Mi. He couldn't bear the thought of losing their friendship, and it was time to face his fears head-on. With determination etched on his face, he quickened his pace, his heavy thoughts gradually transforming into a resolve to mend what had been broken.
